Survive the Recession: Work from home

Our current economic crisis is a major worry for many people right now. The prices of basic essentials such as food, heating and fuel have gone up, and wages just don’t seem to be enough any more. Things could be even worse for you if you’re one of the many that have been made redundant due to company downsizing or closures. The fact that Christmas is just around the corner isn’t helping matters much either.

So what can you do to survive the recession? Why not consider working from home? You can still keep on your day job and work from home part time if you wish, and the extra income could be very welcome depending on your financial situation. Data entry from home is one of the options available to someone looking to work at home. There is generally no experience required, and all you’ll need is your computer and internet access. Of course you’ll also need a good working knowledge of how to use the computer and surf the internet - but I’m guessing that won’t be a problem seeing as you’re on this website reading this article!

But what exactly is online data entry? Basically data entry from home involves typing short advertisements for companies products and services into PPC forms, and submitting them online. Every time a sale is made through an advertisement you typed, you get a commission (usually $20 - $50). So the more ads you type, the more money you make.

How do you get started with data entry from home? The best thing I can recommend is to join a data entry program. It’s the easiest way to learn everything you need to know, and will give you all the necessary training you’ll need. A program will generally require a one time members fee to access the training information, although you should earn this back within a week or less, so you’ve nothing to lose.

Now it’s important to be careful when searching for a data entry opportunity online. Although there are some very good and legitimate programs available, not all are good. The world of ‘work at home’ is full of scams and unscrupulous marketers out to make a quick buck. Never join a program of any sort without doing your research first, and above all, make sure the program has a money back guarantee.
